Highlights:

Russia:

• Number of subscribers (active SIM cards) decreased to 225.8 mln, down 1.8 mln from 4Q2011, up 5.5 mln from 1Q2011;
• Penetration  decreased to 156%  (down 1.2%  from 4Q2011, up 3.8%  from 1Q2011);
• There were 209 and 210 SIM cards in use per 100 population in Moscow and St.Petersburg respectively as of March 31, 2012.

Ukraine:

• Number of subscribers (active SIM cards) increased to 54 mln, up 0.3 mln from 4Q2011, 0.4 mln from 1Q11
• Penetration increased to 119%  (up 0.9% from 4Q2011, 1.3% from 1Q2011).
