Write for Us
Write for Welcome
Welcome is read by people who make decisions about technology, business and telecoms: IT managers weighing up platforms, operations leads comparing suppliers, founders working out what to buy next and what to ignore. They are busy, they are sceptical of vendor language, and they can tell within a paragraph whether a writer has actually done the work.
That is the standard we hold contributions to. If you write for us, your piece sits alongside our own reporting and analysis, in front of an audience that values clear explanation over sales talk. A good contribution earns attention from the people you most want to reach, and it stays on the site as a permanent record of your expertise.
What we publish
- Enterprise technology: cloud migration in practice, security operations, data platforms and the day-to-day reality of running IT at scale.
- Business strategy: how companies structure teams, budgets and buying decisions around technology, with real examples rather than theory.
- Telecoms: fixed and mobile networks, connectivity for distributed teams, wholesale markets and the regulatory questions that shape them.
- Practical guides: procurement checklists, migration lessons, cost comparisons and post-mortems of projects that went well or badly.
- Market analysis: sector trends, competitive shifts and the commercial forces behind them, written by people who follow the market closely.
- Workplace and operations: how technology changes the way teams work, hire and measure results.
Guest posts and sponsored articles
We accept both contributed editorial and sponsored placements. A guest post is written by you and edited by us; a sponsored post is paid for and marked as such. Either way, posts are permanent and indexed, and editorial links are dofollow. Sponsored posts are disclosed where required by law or platform policy, and we will not remove that disclosure. Pricing is available on request. Turnaround from accepted draft to publication is normally three to five working days.
Guidelines
- Original and unpublished elsewhere. We do not republish content that has appeared on another site.
- 800 words or more, with a clear argument and a structure a reader can follow.
- One or two relevant links. No link stuffing and no irrelevant destinations.
- Nothing illegal, defamatory or misleading. Claims about products and services should be supportable.
- Gambling, adult and pharmaceutical subjects are considered case by case and must be genuinely relevant to our readers.
- An author bio is optional. Include one if you want the credit.
- We edit for house style: spelling, punctuation, headings and tone. We will send you the edited draft before publication.
How to pitch
If you want to submit an article, email guestpost@acm-consulting.com with a subject line in the form "Guest post: <topic>", for example "Guest post: What 5G slicing means for mid-sized logistics firms". Include a short outline of no more than 150 words covering the argument and the sections, plus a link to past work so we can see how you write. We read every pitch and reply to those we can use. Before you send, please read our contributor guidelines above; pitches that ignore them usually go no further.
Questions about any of this, or a draft ready to send? Write to guestpost@acm-consulting.com and we will get back to you.
